NAME: Morpheus, Dream of the Endless, Oneiros, Sandman, Lord of Dreams & Nightmares, Kai'ckul... or, according to his sister, the "stupidest, most self-centered pathetic excuse for an anthropomorphic personification on this or any other plane".
AGE: He's existed for billions of years and remains an idiot.
SPECIES: An Endless. Mostly appears human and looks like a sad, wet cat. Can shapeshift into multiple forms, including a CAT, which was super important to mention.
SEXUALITY: Panromantic & demisexual .
CANON: The Sandman (Netflix series & borrowing from comics).

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Though lonely and likely touch-starved (don't tell him you noticed though, he'll probably angry-sulk for a century), hugging him will assuredly result in a rather stiff response... but like we say around here, "oรน y a de la gรชne, y a pas de plaisir", so by all means, go for it! Flirt, tease, touch and hug relatively safely. You can also try kissing him, but unless you've got his undivided, interested attention, do so at your own perils.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Attempts can be made?? He can't die, just so you know. As in, he'll never cease to be; if Dream of the Endless somehow perishes, another aspect of himself will take his place. That being said, he's not completely immune to injuries, or magic traps for that matter. But if you truly wanna FIGHT, he'd really rather play The Oldest Game.
RELATIONSHIPS: LMAO. Listen. When he loves, he loves hard, though all of his relationships have miserably failed. Slight him and he might send you straight to Hell! Terrible boyfriend, 0/10 do not recommend. HOWEVER. His captivity seems to have shaken some sense into him; he's slowly improving, so there may be hope for him (and future lover).

Just be warned that he's a little wary of humans & magic users now (re: fishbowl), and past relationships have coated his mouth sour, flavoured with a sprinkle of self-loathing and bitterness. Abandonment issues are a thing, as well as trauma and the fact that he doesn't allow himself to feel. He still does -- note how often his eyes water -- he just does his best to repress it all, not just for his own sake but for the sake of the entire collective consciousness (aka the dreamers, and all universes). Significant CR would be necessary in order for him to let go and fully allow himself to navigate the confines of his heart, so if you enjoy intense pining and slow-burns...
It's probably worth mentioning that I'm a big fan of cross-canon shipping for Morpheus, though I'm not completely opposed to shipping him with certain canon characters if there's enough chemistry thread-wise. No shipping with any of his siblings, however, any of his foes, Matthew, or any of his subjects/dreams/nightmares!

AURAL: King of ASMR. Eloquent, he speaks in soft raspy tones no matter the occasion, his voice sand and smoke. Also spent 100 years without uttering a single sound so believe it when I say he'll absolutely ignore you if he doesn't feel like answering.

Often watery-eyed despite his seemingly cold dispositions - don't let him fool you, because he feels, a lot. Surprisingly gentle. In truth, he's a big softie. Polite and absolutely knows his place, no matter how powerful or assertive -- especially when asking for favours from equally strong or superior entities. As he points out: "there are rules, protocols that must be followed". Can be a complete asshole otherwise, arrogant, and ruthless when necessary.
